This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with Mileo (the "App"). The short version: We do not collect your data. Everything stays on your computer.
1. No Data Collection by the Developer
We do not collect, receive, store, or transmit any personal data or usage information. The App has no backend server, no analytics pipeline, and no telemetry of any kind. No data you create or import ever leaves your device and reaches us.
2. Local Storage Only
All data the App creates or retrieves — including any data pulled from third-party services via integrations — is stored exclusively on your local device in files and directories controlled by you. You can inspect, move, back up, or delete this data at any time. Uninstalling the App removes the application itself; any local data files remain unless you delete them manually.
3. Third-Party Integrations and OAuth
The App connects to third-party services (such as Google) on your behalf using the industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol. When you authorize an integration:
- The App requests only the permissions (scopes) strictly necessary to provide the feature you are using.
- Data retrieved from third-party services is saved locally on your device — it is not forwarded to me or any other party.
- Your OAuth access tokens are stored locally and are never transmitted to the developer.
- You can revoke the App's access to any third-party account at any time through that service's own settings (e.g., your Google Account permissions page).
4. Google API Services
The App's use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve the features you explicitly invoked.
- Google user data is not used for advertising or to build profiles for advertising.
- Google user data is not sold or shared with third parties.
- We do not read your Google data unless you explicitly request support and share data yourself.
5. No Tracking or Analytics
The App does not include crash reporters, usage analytics, advertising SDKs, or any other tracking software. No identifiers — advertising IDs, device fingerprints, or IP addresses — are collected by the developer.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because no data is collected from anyone, there is no special risk to children from using this App.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we materially change how the App handles data (for example, by adding a cloud sync feature or analytics), we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
